Hale to the Kale

Kale offers many health benefits, including regulating blood pressure and potentially reducing the risk of various types of cancer. One cup of raw kale has only 20 calories and is packed with vitamin A. Vitamin A builds a strong immune system. It's also great for vision, cell growth, and healthy skin. Kale also has folate and fiber. Folate helps regulate blood pressure and fight inflammation. Fiber is great for your gut and aids in digestion, 25-35 grams of fiber is recommended daily. Vitamin C is great for healthy bones, teeth, gums and blood vessels. It also helps the body absorb iron and aids in wound healing. Kale has Vitamin B6 which aids in brain and nerve function.



If you take blood thinners or regularly have kidney stones, talk to your healthcare provider before adding kale to your diet.
